Established in 1903 in an earlier bank building, this is a genuine Scottish single roomed, stand up drinking shop. However, there is plenty of seating around two walls of the pub supplemented by stools by windows and at the bar. Features are a wooden floor, a high ceiling with ornate plasterwork below the cornice, big stained glass windows, large dark wood bar fittings and an excellent collection of rare brewery mirrors. Live music on Saturday nights. Children are not admitted.
